Denner was founded in 1860 by Heinrich Reiff-Schwarz in Zollikon as "Reiff-Schwarz, Mercerie und Spezereihandel". As of 1914 the company was called Denner & Co. Consumgesellschaft and has always remained family-owned, even if only in part and under changing names. Expansion over the years has led to currently 850 locations, offering a varied assortment of fresh food, articles for daily needs and special offers.
